Interested in improving your proposal-writing skills? The Council on Undergraduate Research will be holding its annual Proposal Writing Institute July 12-16, 2018 at Georgia College in Milledgeville, GA. The deadline for applications in May 15, 2018.
The four-day event will consist of periods of proposal preparation interspersed with one-on-one mentoring by experienced and successful proposal writers, members of grant review panels, former program officers, and/or directors of sponsored programs offices. Small-group discussions and group critiquing sessions round out the institute. Participants who come well prepared and who work hard should be able to leave the institute with a completed (or nearly completed) proposal for the granting agency of their choice.
A $50.00 application fee is due at the time of application. Should you be accepted to attend the institute, your application fee will be applied to your tuition fees. In the event that CUR does not accept your application, the $50.00 application fee will be refunded.
The cost of the institute is $1,500 per accepted participant (CUR Enhanced Members), $1,575 (CUR Institutional Members), $1,650 (CUR Individual Members), or $1,750 (Non-CUR Members). The fee includes most meals and housing (single occupancy residential on-campus housing with shared bath; requests for a hotel room are available at an additional cost to the participant). CUR will invoice Williams for the cost.
